TCPN Names Summit Energy an Approved Vendor of Energy Procurement and Management Services

Louisville, KY. – Sept. 11, 2012 – Summit Energy, a subsidiary of Schneider Electric, has been named an approved vendor of energy procurement and management consulting services to The Cooperative Purchasing Network (TCPN) and its nearly 1,900 members. Summit joins a very short list of vendors in this category having been chosen after successfully completing TCPN’s rigorous vetting process and associated due diligence.

TCPN is a national governmental purchasing cooperative that seeks to leverage the purchasing potential of governmental entities across the United States. TCPN competitively bids and awards contracts to approximately 250 national vendors in accordance with purchasing procedures mandated by state procurement laws and regulations. TCPN contracts benefit thousands of public and private schools, colleges and universities, cities, counties, non-profits and governmental entities by increasing efficiency, shortening delivery time of goods and services, and stretching increasingly tightening budgets.

In addition to energy procurement, Summit also will provide strategic energy planning, risk management services, commodity rate analysis, data management and invoice processing to interested TCPN members. TCPN’s contract with Summit Energy will extend for 3 years.
