Sept. 11, 2012
-- New Castle, Pennsylvania—
Nissan recently unveiled the 2013 Sentra, an updated version of the popular compact sedan, as part of the Heisman Tour in Dallas, Texas.
The Sentra is currently Nissan’s second best-selling vehicle, second only to the ever-popular Nissan Altima sedan. With this model update, the Sentra takes on some of the Altima’s exterior styling and detail.
For the 2013 model year, the Sentra is being built on a new platform, reducing its weight by 150 pounds. It will feature a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 130 horsepower and 128 lb.-ft. of torque. The car will also come equipped with a number of features including Pandora radio capability, streaming audio via Bluetooth and a “Hands-Free”
text messaging assistant program.
Most models of the 2013 Sentra will be rated at 30 miles per gallon in the city and 39 miles per gallon on the highway, making it a fuel efficient entry into the compact sedan class.
