Mobile County Bicentennial Tribute to Elvis Oct. 19

Fund-raising event as part of Mobile County AL 200th anniversary celebration

Sept. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Mobile, AL.  If you are an Elvis fan, danced to his music and remember his visits to the Bluegill Restaurant or his concerts, then mark your calendar for Friday, Oct. 19, and be a part of the “Bobby Socks and Blue Suede Shoes: A Tribute to Elvis” sock hop on Friday, Oct. 19 at the downtown Holiday Inn, from 7-11 p.m.

This fund-raising event is sponsored by the Bicentennial Commission of Mobile County, Inc., as part of the county’s 200th birthday celebration.

Get our your khaki pants, button down collared shirts and loafers, swing skirts and saddle shoes, capris and flats, and rev up your vintage auto,  to come dance to 1950s music of DJ Glenn Normand, and be entertained by local Elvis impersonator Shane Tucker.  Enter the 1950s costume parade, watch the spectacular laser light show, and feast on the fabulous food buffet of Elvis’ favorite foods - cheeseburger sliders, fries and peanut butter and banana desserts.

Tickets are $25 per person, and may be purchased at the downtown Holiday Inn.
