1,000,000 AED for UAE Students announced at Open Thinking Day
A CEO event in the UAE attracted 250 delegates at Open Thinking Day. At the event, 20 speakers shared next generation ideas for business in the region. Among the many announcements made was the 1,000,000 aed student training CSR scheme for the UAE.
This was the scene at Open Thinking Day, a CEO event in the UAE, hosted by a company sharing the same name, that received 250 executive visitors and delegates representing a cross segment of services and industries and nationalities.
20 top speakers dazzled the audience with powerful and positive messages about new approaches, not just in business, but also in winning attitudes and approaches, for attaining new perspectives of prosperity.
“Business environments can change virtually overnight”, says Iyad Mourtada, Founder of Open Thinking Day. “We recognize the need to create knowledge sharing platforms in order to foster growth” he added.
“Our objective was to create an ecosystem of knowledge exchange that would empower these business leaders to co-create more opportunity here in the UAE,” says Mourtada.
Over 25 sponsors supported the event, held at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce, that promises to grow and be repeated in 2013.
Among the highlights of the event were announcements of the ‘1,000,000 Ways to Learn’ CSR project by ‘OpenThinking’
“We are also very fortunate to have the support of our partners and 30 plus trainers. who through a separate initiative,OpenThinking Project, will deliver other live trainings, also for free, to residents in the UAE who purchase a business book at our kiosks, inside Kinokuniya, published by Wiley, both of whom are partners in this CSR project.”
Other highlights were the unveiling of new start -ups and platforms for SME’s including High Performance League, the new life action in the UAE and Innovation Hub launching the i360 Incubator, StartUp weekend in Sharjah and many others.
“The event was an amazing success, and we have raised the bar for content excellence for CEO events in the UAE, according to Michael J. Tolan, CEO of World Class Academy of Excellence, a partner of Open Thinking.
The majority of the UAE attendees were business leaders from Dubai, with a mix of other delegates from other emirates and some from as far away as the UK.
As a result of this conference, World Class Academy of Excellence entered into a new partnership agreement with Open Thinking FZE to deliver value to its various learning and development platforms, including on line courses and supporting Open Thinking with many of its various projects.
The CEO event was part of Open Thinking Day, which also hosted earlier, all the presidents and leaders of the top associations in the UAE for Auditing and Accounting.
All together, 500 delegates participated overall in Open Thinking Day, the first event of its kind in the UAE.
“We are looking forward to collaborating with and engaging the business community more and more, and we are certain now that our unique formula was well received. 2013 will be even bigger and better that this one, which impressed event organizers and competitors alike” added Mourtada.
