In one of his talks at WHD.India which was held in May 2012, Shridhar Luthria, General Manager of ResellerClub highlighted that India is one of the fastest growing markets for web hosting & Domain Names. Studies of demographic data & internet usage patterns reveal that the Industry is poised for phenomenal growth in the coming years, and is predicted to grow from 3.5 million registered domains to more than 16 Million Domains and 6.4 Million Hosting packages by 2016, which translates to an INR 25.5 Billion opportunity.

Shridhar said “There are a number of factors such as the Government’s investment in strengthening the National Fibre Optic Network, the increasing use of 3G, Wimax and 4G technologies as well as widespread use of smart phones, PCs and tablets in tier 2 & 3 cities, which are indicators of the fact that the Internet Industry is already big in India and is only going to get bigger.”  

Shridhar adds “One of the key reasons that the Hosting Industry is well established in countries such as USA & Germany is the presence of forums where people can interact and exchange ideas within the community. Event Details

RCHS will be held on 1st & 2nd November 2012 at the Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel, Mumbai. The event will feature 2 keynote sessions, over 10 Knowledge Sessions and over 35 exhibitors including Data Centres, Web Hosts, Registries, Registrars and Internet Service Providers.
