REMAX DFW Associates Names Mal Smith Manager of The Firsco Market Center Office

Sept. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Mr. Smith is very well respected in the community and is a seasoned veteran with more than 27 years in the industry, 24 of which have been as a RE/MAX agent. Active in real estate circles, Mr. Smith served as President of the Collin County Association of REALTORS® and was formerly the broker manager for another local RE/MAX firm. While serving as president of CCAR last year, he was instrumental in the association’s, and, in fact, the entire North Texas real estate community coming together to benefit the Texas Sentinels Foundation and participate in the building of a mortgage free home for a severely injured veteran in Collin County. Mal also has received numerous awards including the prestigious RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement, RE/MAX Hall of Fame, and was named as a former Rookie of the Year. He has earned the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR®), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS®) as well as the Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE®) designations. Mr. Smith specializes in residential properties in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Growing up in both New York and Florida, Mal moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area 27 years ago. He served as a naval aviator and earned a BBA degree in Finance from Hofstra University. A background in management and sales prior to becoming a REALTOR® compliments his real estate career and has additionally taught him about “being there for his clients” in a highly competitive industry. Mal has two adult children and attends Saint Andrew United Methodist Church in Plano. He is also active in his homeowners association and enjoys his softball team and most all sports when time permits.
