INGENII, LLC Designs Nourimanba Production Facility in Haiti

Construction of the new 13,250 sf manufacturing facility designed by INGENII, LLC in conjunction with Abbott Laboratories, is proceeding in Haiti.
Sept. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- The shell structure is now in place and the interior build out has begun. The new facility will manufacture ‘Nourimanba’, a nutritional dietary supplement provided to young children by Zanmi Lasante, the local representation of the U.S. based charitable organization, Partners in Health. The Abbott Fund has provided the funding for the project.

The new facility was designed of systems and materials selected to simplify and speed up construction on the rural Haitian site while still providing a facility that will have a long life and be maintainable by the local staff. Manufacturing within the new building will involve the processing of peanuts grown by local farmers.

At the core of the facility will be a suite of processing rooms for roasting and grinding peanuts and then mixing the resultant paste with the nutritional supplements that make the end product, Nourimanba, so effective in fortifying the diets of young children. The product will be distributed throughout Haiti at clinics.
