The DLC Board of Trustees is dedicated to the staff and persons with disabilities in Utah and has helped keep the organization on the cutting edge of client-centered disability advocacy. Since 1979, the DLC has helped thousands of Utahns with disabilities and their families. The DLC has broad statutory powers to safeguard the human and civil rights of persons with disabilities. They provide self-advocacy assistance, legal services, disability rights education and public policy advocacy on behalf of the more than 400,000 Utah residents with disabilities. Fields is a litigator practicing in the areas of securities litigation, real estate litigation, accountant and auditor liability, regulatory investigations and general commercial litigation. His practice includes diverse matters, ranging from property disputes to breach of contract cases to insurance coverage. Fields earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his B.A. from Boston College.
