Follow on Google News | Juror selects Snoqualmie Artist for the 1st Juried Art Exhibit at the Mercer Island Art GalleryAfter a hard selection process, Snoqualmie artist Patricia Tamburini was chosen to participate in the 1st Annual Exhibit at the Mercer Island Community Center with her latest work “Rust Metal”.
A Venezuelan by birth, Patricia has lived in the U.S. since 1993. She grew up painting with oil on canvas since age 10. She became a Graphics Designer and worked for the Venezuela Oil Company until she moved to the United States, where she pursued a Business Administration degree. Always an artist by heart, she decided to teach herself to paint with acrylics, and a world-full of colors, textures and emotions have come alive in her canvas. The Group exhibit final 44 Artist to display their work in the gallery were selected by renowned art glass and printmaking Artist Paula Stokes. The event will take place in the Mercer Island Art Gallery located at the Mercer Island Community Center & Event Center, at 8236 SE 24th Street, Mercer Island, WA, from September 10 through October 26, 2012. An artist reception will be held Thursday, September 13 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with an award ceremony at 7:00 PM. The Mercer Island Community Center Art Gallery is open to the public for free Mon - Fri, 6:30 AM to 9:00 PM, Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
