Glynn Vivian Art Gallery has launched their new offsite exhibitions and events for autumn 2012, with a whole host of exciting shows and workshops available throughout the coming months.
Last weekend kicked off the new programme with the incredible Sandfields Festival of Ideas, a packed three days of performance, installations, music and cooking, held in partnership with the Vetch Veg project at the Vetch Field in Swansea.
This Saturday 8 September, activities move to the YMCA where the Gallery will be hosting drop in art and craft workshops for all the family, as part of their exciting offsite activities programme.
The free ‘Saturday Family Workshop’ will open from 11am – 4pm, no booking is required and you spend an hour or stay all day.

Also in September the Gallery will be running ‘Saturday Adult Classes’, where you can try out new techniques and learn loads of new skills. Workshops take place from Saturday 22 September, 11am – 4pm, at the Gallery’s offsite hub at the YMCA.
In the coming months Glynn Vivian Art Gallery will be working in partnership with other gallery’s in Swansea, including the National Waterfront Museum and Mission Gallery, to bring you new exhibitions from Welsh artists David Cushway and Bedwyr Williams.
Bedwyr Williams’ new exhibition, My Bad, is a collaboration project with Ikon Gallery in Birmingham, and comprises of an entirely new commissioned installation and sculptural pieces, which will transform Mission Gallery’s space.
