How To Unclog A Tub. Drain Tool for Slow or Clogged Drains.

If you need to unclog a tub, Bad Cat Solutions might have a tool to do the job without having to resort to a plumber or dangerous chemicals.

Sept. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Whether you own a home or rent an apartment, most of us end up with a tub or shower to unclog at one time or another. Calling in a professional plumber can be costly and time consuming. The people at Bad Cat Solutions have a tool called The Drain Claw that just might be the answer for some clogged drains.

Company spokesman Jacy Elsesser says that hair is the major cause of most clogged tubs and showers. “The amount of hair the average person loses a day can be amazing,” says Elsesser. “Some people can lose over 100 hairs a day. Most are lost during a bath or shower.”

This hair can get caught at the opening of the drain around shower grates and the bracket that holds the stopper in tubs. “Before you grab the chemicals, you should try a drain tool to remove this hair,” says Elsesser. “Drain openers are designed to be heavier than water and drop to the lowest point in the drain to work on a clog. This makes chemicals almost useless for most hair clogs at the opening of the drain.

The company’s tool, The Drain Claw is a two foot long drain snake with a tip that has 100 small interlocking hooks to grab hair and pull it out of the drain. It was designed by a real estate investor to keep his tenants drains open without having to use chemicals.
