Sept. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Las Vegas, Nevada -- Tom Arnold, former Microsoft employee and founder of Seattle-based PetHub, Inc., announced today at the World Pet Association's "SuperZoo Show for Pet Retailers," his company's expansion into Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Germany, South Africa, and the Netherlands. "U.S. and Canadian users have enjoyed PetHub's award-winning products and services for 12 months. Now the world has access to our groundbreaking innovations around pet safety," said Arnold.

In August, the company had a successful "soft launch" outside of the U.S. and Canada into other English-speaking countries. This month's launch includes translated versions of the website starting with Dutch and German.  "The market is driving which languages we support first," explained Arnold. "Four hundred retail stores in the Netherlands this week are now able to provide our Internet services, quickly followed by Swiss and German distributors," he added.

PetHub, Inc., licenses the use of its smartphone scannable technology and web services to manufacturers looking to offer pet owners the ability to link a tag to a free Internet profile.  Each profile linked to by a tag can show emergency contacts, vaccinations, license and rabies tag numbers, microchip codes, animal caretaker details, and more. All of this functionality is provided at no charge beyond the cost of the tag.

"Microchips remain an important safety net. PetHub's solution, however, not only helps anyone get an animal home quickly without the need of a vet's special scanner, it allows access to critical medical and other details crucial to giving an animal elevated care in an emergency situation," concluded Arnold.

PetHub's partners who license its technology include dogIDs™, Red Dingo™, VIP Etchers™, and many others.
