Steven W. Siler has assembled a Culinary Postcard of the signature restaurant recipes of Charlotte, NC. In his book, “Signature Tastes of Charlotte” Siler reveals over 110 recipes from small eateries to famous chefs that define the Queen City.
Everyone has that one restaurant in the city. Their order never changes, every time they go there, and it is always good. And better yet, these are the places visitors are always referred to, usually with a glowing recommendation like “Oh, you have to try the _______.”
Apparently, this happens all the time and someone has finally done something to capture it.
Steven W. Siler has begged, cajoled and in some cases pleaded to get these memorable restaurant recipes. In doing so, he has assembled what amounts to a culinary postcard for the city of Charlotte. In his latest book, “Signature Tastes of Charlotte”, Siler offers a selection of over 100 recipes of defining tastes ranging from The Penguin’s Famous Pimento Cheese to the Bonterra’s Duck Spring Rolls. In addition, each signature recipe has full-page photos and histories of each eatery.
