Songwriter | Producer Kwan Wilson Signs New Management Deal

Aug. 31, 2012 - PRLog -- KPI Music Group is proud to announce a new management deal with songwriter and producer Kwan Wilson.  Kwan is a native of Sharpsburg, Kentucky and was a founding member of the R&B group Forte.  During the 90’s, Forte toured with R. Kelly, New Edition & Mary J. Blige.  Around the same time, Kwan also began working with actor/singer Jamie Foxx, and later co-formed the group Reign, where he contributed as an artist, songwriter and co-producer.  Following a return to Kentucky in 2004, Kwan continued writing music and collaborating with industry friends and associates.  His aspirations had shifted by then, and he is currently involved with various TV, film and album projects.   As Kwan indicated recently, “…the timing could not be better for this type of partnership, and I’m truly excited with the extraordinary projects we are being asked to contribute on”.    When asked about the film projects, Kwan offered “…we have several opportunities currently in development, all of which are in production or green-lit for pre-production”.   From a music perspective, Kwan suggested there may be an upcoming collaboration with his long-time friends Jamie Foxx and Grammy award winner Chico Bennett, “…my friends and colleagues on the west coast have been incredibly supportive, and we are talking about several new project ideas”.  

Kwan’s love for music goes back to the days of pre-school when his teacher reports that he used to sneak off to “...go and practice singing in the restroom”.  His grandmother Isabelle was very influential in his life.  “…she always allowed me to sit and listen to her LP records as much as I wanted, and it really helped me develop a foundation for true classics”.  Kwan is married, and has two sons, with whom he shares his love for music, writing and production.  His personal interests also include; time spent with family, fishing, sports and Church.  Kwan is extremely passionate about helping people, and he is described by many as ‘the best listener they’ve ever met’.
