Aug. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- It’s been a fun run of events for rapper-producer Cynikal thus far this year; he has celebrated his 25 birthday recently, performed at Olympic Park for the 2012 Olympics, and is rehearsing for the Paralympics on September 3rd 2012. The young talent also debuted his new single “Won’t Let You Down” on Tuesday 28th August: The track has been taken from his critically acclaimed mixtape, Breakfast, and was tweeted as one of two favourites from the album by Roy from Semtex, as well as having reached BBC Radio 1’s play list prior to official release.

“Wont Let You Down” boldly flies like a butterfly refusing to be confined only to a Hip-hop genre.  The fluidity of the lyrics allows the listener to enjoy the narration of a story told by Cyinkal, which is significant to him on a personal level:

“This song reflects very well where I’m at, both artistically and personally. I wrote it for my family, for my friends, for my fans, and for anyone who has ever given me an opportunity to succeed in life - it’s because of all those people I am where I stand. It also serves as a reminder to myself; that I owe it to those who have helped me to achieve all I have thus far, enabling me to embark on the beginnings of a journey which no-one could have foretold.”

The song features Cynthia Erivo, who plays lead role Deloris in the UK-touring Sister Act musical. Cynthia and Cynikal have performed together before, and he felt that her powerful vocals and emotive performance would be perfect addictions to the project.  The young lady certainly injects emotion into the sleek music video, filmed on the streets of London. The production of this video is a far cry from many other unsigned acts - for Cynikal it is vital that each and every element of his work delivers a message... and this certainly won't let you down... http://youtu.be/C9WHcqashF8

About Cynthia:  Cynthia has been singing since the tender age of five; it was only natural that her path led her to graduate from the esteemed Royal Academy Of Dramatic Arts.
