-- Dr. John A Ness' work with the organization Love Without Boundaries, which helps orphans and poor rural children in China receive necessary medical care, was recognized this month by VolunteerMatch.org and their members in the "Why I Volunteer" photo contest on Facebook.
The "Why I Volunteer" photo contest received over 75 submissions from volunteers throughout the World. Dr. Ness' winning photo showed him surrounded by nine babies who had cleft palate or cleft lip repairs. "Working 12-14 hours a day on ‘vacation’
to repair the broken smiles of orphaned infants so that they can have a new chance to be joined with a forever family...is the most profoundly humbling experience I have known," Dr. Ness said.
The winning photo is posted on http://www.facebook.com/
nessplasticsurgery and the VolunteerMatch.org official Facebook page.
