By: CORDURA® Brand “Project OR was an amazing experience. This was my first exposure to the outdoor industry and I am impressed by the people, the products and the passion behind it all. I love it,” said Jessee. “I chose CORDURA® fabric for the hood and under-collar of my design because I wanted something waterproof, lightweight and durable. CORDURA® UltraLite fabric fit those needs. The fabric was very easy to work with and performed just as I hoped it would.” Specifically, Jessee used a brown CORDURA® UltraLite fabric from Korean mill Dong-Jin in a laminated 30x70d blended box ripstop construction. Held at Outdoor Retailer Summer Marker 2012 (OR Show), Jessee was hand-chosen, along with five other students from the top design programs in the country, to compete in Project OR. The goal is to create a piece of outdoor recreational clothing using only pre-selected materials from participating suppliers in under 48 hours. Once garments are complete, a panel of highly regarded judges in the outdoor industry announces the winner on the last day of the OR Show. Jessee also won a trip to OR Show 2013.
