The Awards Program You Need to Know About—Now!
Call for entries in the 2012 Book of the Year Awards program. If your books expand a reader’s world, introduce a voice society needs to hear, offer practical knowledge where none existed before or simply entertain, they should be submitted.

Looking for the Best Indie Books of 2012
ForeWord is accepting submissions of books published in 2012 by independent presses and authors for consideration in the 2012 Book of the Year Awards program.
Keeping in mind the standards used by booksellers and librarians for purchases and acquisitions, a jury consisting of booksellers and librarians will take note of editorial excellence, the author's intent, originality of subject matter, accuracy, author credentials, and professional packaging. Hard- and softcover bound books in their best representation are preferred, however POD and eBook submissions are welcome, too.
First, second, and third place winners in 60+ categories will be awarded. A $1,500 cash prize will also be awarded to a Best Fiction and Best Nonfiction choice as determined by the editors of ForeWord Reviews magazine. Past Editor's Choice Prize winners include Six Kinds of Sky by Luis Alberto Urrea (Cinco Puntos Press) and The Road Home by Jim Harrison (Atlantic Monthly) for fiction; Marcel Proust: A Life by William C. Carter (Yale University Press), And the Crowd Goes Wild by Joe Garner (Sourcebooks)
That's impressive company to keep. Consider adding your title to that list!
The deadline for title registration is January 15, 2013. See our Book of the Year Awards site for more details and information on how to enter.
