Non-Profit NeedyMeds.org Saves Consumers Over $21 Million on Prescriptions

Aug. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- (Gloucester, Mass.)  NeedyMeds.org today announced a major milestone in their goal to save American’s money on the cost of their prescription medicines.  With new numbers in for the month of July 2012, the non-profit organization has helped consumers save more than $21 MILLION dollars since 2009.

The savings came from the use of the NeedyMeds discount card which can be downloaded from their website, www.needymeds.org and is accepted at more than 70,000 pharmacies nationwide. The card provides savings up to 80% on many medicines including over-the-counter medicines and medical supplies written as a prescription and pet prescriptions you fill at a pharmacy.  

Cards are free and open to everyone. There is no registration required and an entire family can use the same card.
