2012 Honorees Announced By Mha Westchester

Aug. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- The Mental Health Association of Westchester (MHA) is delighted to announce our 2012 honorees. These individuals were selected for their unwavering commitment to mental health and inspired vision for the future. They will be recognized at the annual benefit, Autumn On The Hudson, which is taking place on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 6:30 pm at X2O’S in Yonkers, NY.

Georganne Chapin, President/CEO & Hudson Health Plan will receive the MHA Corporate Philanthropy Award for leading the way in delivering integrated person-centered comprehensive health care coverage to more than 115,000 low income people in the Hudson Valley.

John B. Allen, Special Assistant to the Commissioner, NYS Office of Mental Health
will receive the MHA Phoenix Award for his visionary leadership and creation of new and innovative services for people recovering from mental health conditions.

Mary Beth Morrissey, PhD, MPH, JD, MHA Board Member and President, Collaborative for Palliative Care, will receive the MHA on the move Award in recognition of her contributions in the field of mental health policy, research on mental illness and her six years of service on MHA's board.

Kathie Collins, MHA Volunteer will receive the MHA Spirit Award for her passionate and effective advocacy as a CASA volunteer on behalf of children in the foster care system.
