Tamera Lawrence’s Mobile Whimsy Greeting Card Line In the Window at The American Folk Art Museum

Aug. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Award Winning Graphic Designer Tamera Lawrence’s Mobile Whimsy ^TM greeting cards are on display in the window at the American Folk Art Museum in New York City through the end of August.

Museum Shop Director, Marie DiManno, was captivated by the bright and colorful branding of the card line at the National Stationery Show and invited Tamera to bring her display and cards to the museum. The larger than life mobile turning in the museum window has been drawing the attention of passerby with the positive message, “Eye Heart Ewe” and bringing customers into the museum gift shop to purchase Mobile Whimsy ^TM cards.

Mobile Whimsy ^TM is a new, distinct line of contemporary and smart greeting cards. Who says a greeting card needs to be a flat experience?! Tamera’s mini mobiles are a 3D circus of circles and wordplay. A mini sculpture in an envelope! Each card is comprised of three double sided circles strung together to reveal a playful message.

Mobile Whimsy ^TM debuted to the trade at the National Stationery Show at the Javits Center May 20-23, 2012. Tamera Lawrence’s Mobile Whimsy was a Finalist in the Best New Product Competition at this year’s show.

Mobile Whimsy ^TM greeting cards are sold individually. Each card is 4.5 x 6.25 inches, six panels including a fold out panel that acts as a colorful backdrop for the mini mobile on one side and an area for writing your personal message on the inside. Printed in the USA on premium uncoated stock, die cut and hand assembled.

Tamera Lawrence earned a BFA in Visual Communications from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Her company has won numerous AIGA National Design Awards for brand/identity systems and promotional/marketing systems. She was recognized with the 2010 AIGA DC Fellow Award for excellence in the field.
