Follow on Google News | JomJalan.com.my -- Kuala Lumpur Hotels And Attractions Travel Directory Launched TodayJomJalan.com.my today announced that the portal - a free directory listing for the hotels and attractions in Kuala Lumpur - is open for public beta starting today
By: JomJalan The site is designed for those looking for trustworthy, high-quality recommendations in categories including restaurants, shopping, hotels, cultural activities, kid friendly and live events. It has two key features: Local Recommendations - Users will read short summary of hotels and attractions from the point of view of fellow KL resident. On top of that, fellow visitors can add to the site reviews and comment on the places they have been to. This ensures that the guide offers the most comprehensive and respected expert information, with multiple recommendations to access. User social sharing - Integrated within the site is the social media function, which allows users to connect with their friends and other travelers in order to share their own personal experiences and recommendations. Users can browse their friends' comments and recommendations, create their favourite listing to add into the guide, or ask a question to the community (e.g. "Where can I get sate in Bukit Bintang?") to get immediate answers from other visitors. Iskandar Suhaimi, the founder of http://www.jomjalan.com.my says, "We are excited about launching the KL travel directory, our first international edition of a travel portal in the last two years. We know that the consumer travel market in Asia will continue to grow at a tremendous pace, and the site is aimed at helping foreign and local visitors to know more about the city.” He added, "We designed the site for families and first time visitors to Kuala Lumpur. And we want our readers to get access to leading content from local sources with socially curated recommendations. We believe the site will definitely help locals find new places and events, and let travelers explore like locals." The first phase of the site will take the form of an open beta with further updates planned for 2013. End
