Aug. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- Since MediaAria CDM was first established as an independent publishing house in 2010, the book publishing industry has undergone revolutionary changes. The impact of these changes – most notably the rise of ebooks – is still being felt today. As a result, publishers (particularly independent publishers) had been compelled to reflect on how they should respond to these changes. For MediaAria CDM, this period of introspection merely reawaken our resolve to abide by the mission which motivated it’s founding as a new publishing house in the first place: to champion traditional printed books in the twentieth century and beyond while using New Age (i.e. digital and social) Media to not only promote and market books, but to communicate directly with our audience. A company mission that is, fundamentally, based upon four pillars:

DISCOVERING AND LAUNCHING NEW TALENT. We are committed to publishing writers from all over the world (particularly from the ‘developing world’) who write stories that are entertaining, yet innovative and thought-provoking, and launch them as authors desiring to forge a career and showcase their talent to the world.

NURTURING TALENTED AUTHORS. We are committed to work with our authors to develop and improve their writing and hone their craft whilst promoting literacy and encouraging original methods of literary expression.

CHAMPIONING TRADITIONAL BOOKS. We are committed to traditional books. We believe in the primacy of the printed word and wish to cherish and protect the traditional book as much as possible while seeking to utilise New Age media to promote, market and encourage the viable and very much still relevant presence of the traditional book, rather than replace it.

PROMOTING AUTHORS’ WORK THROUGH DIGITAL AND SOCIAL MEDIA. We are committed to working with the author in promoting their works via New Age Media and interactive with our readership audience in order to spread our love of books’ via the power of the internet.

These four pillars uphold the ethos, aims and objectives of the company and encapsulate the philosophy of how we choose to communicate and promote our authors’ work as a new and young independent publishing house punching above its weight, and we invite all who share this philosophy to join us in our love of traditional books and ‘spread the word’.
