By: Flagler County Chamber of Commerce Held on the stunning shores of Pellicer Creek, the Creekside Festival is one of Flagler County’s most popular festivals, attracting approximately 15,000 visitors each year. Family-friendly activities include live bluegrass music, kayak tours, arts & crafts vendors, a photo contest and exhibition for high school students, delicious and diverse food offerings, children’s activities and much more in a picturesque rural setting. Rebecca DeLorenzo, the chamber’s executive vice president said, “Creekside Festival is one of our favorite events that has become a popular tradition for many. Given the enthusiastic response we’re already getting from sponsors and vendors, this year’s festival will be one the entire community will enjoy.” In addition to the lineup of great food, music and shopping, guests can visit the Flagler Home Expo, hosted by the Flagler Home Builder’s Association (FHBA). A variety of home-related vendors, builders, service providers and FHBA members will be on hand to demonstrate and discuss their latest and greatest products and services. Parents will want to bring their little ones by the kid’s zone for complimentary craft projects and interactive fun. For information about the Flagler Home Expo, call 386.445.9399. Admission to the Creekside Festival is $5 per car at the gate or $3 in advance. Parking passes can be purchased at the chamber until October 5. There will be two entry lanes off Old Kings Road -- one for prepaid passes and the other for day-of event-admission. Your patience with volunteers at the main gate is appreciated. These students participate in Matanzas High School’s Legacy Program, and the group receives 25 percent of parking proceeds for their efforts. In addition to supporting this club, the chamber donates 25 percent of all festival proceeds to Flagler County’s conservation of Princess Place Preserve. The Creekside Festival will be open from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, October 6 and from 10 AM to 4 PM on Sunday, October 7.
