Could A Children’s Book Impact The Presidential Election?

With a limited number of swing voters in crucial states, what turns the election might be anything, even a funny children’s book like Bye Bye Obama.

Aug. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Karl Rove’s 3-2-1 strategy indicates presidential hopeful Mitt Romney must win any one state to beat President Barack Obama after securing 3+2 others. That one state could be as small as New Hampshire or as large as Pennsylvania.  According to Rove, it is the one state where swing voters will decide the fate of the election.

What could secure those swing voters is what Super PACs such as American Crossroads have been spending millions to try to achieve.  For voters trying to decide how to vote, these PACs are often seen as from a biased source.

There also has been much in the media about the impact of tweets and running mates Joe Biden and Paul Ryan. The impact of children’s humor books have yet to be looked into.

One of these books, published happily on July 4th, 2012, is Bye Bye Obama by Ross and Nicole Bolton.  From an independent publisher, it chronicles in rhyme and cartoon Obama’s last three years.

Although the book is sold on Amazon.com, they show the pages free on their blog, byebyeobamabook.com giving them a reach to internet voters unseen in previous elections.

Will it be funny enough to capture enough of the swing voter’s ballots?  Time will tell.  If it does, the only guarantee is that copycats will soon flood the market.
