Chassis Plans Introduces CPX1-241 Rugged Military and Industrial Grade 24-Inch Rackmount LCD Display
Multi-capable 24-inch military and industrial grade LCD display offers 1920x1200 resolution and virtually any input signal. The LCD can be enhanced with an Anti-Reflective glass filter, MicroMesh military grade EMI filter and infrared touch screen.
The CPX1-241 is designed for rugged military and industrial applications providing robust aircraft grade aluminum construction, military grade or industrial grade components, and features that enhance the display in challenging environments.
Starting with a grade A 24-inch 1920 x 1200 LED backlight LCD panel, the display can be further enhanced with a bonded anti-reflective (AR) filter cover glass, MicroMesh EMI filter embedded in the bond line for the cover glass, and with an infrared (IR) touch screen. The AR filter and MicroMesh EMI filter enhance the display particularly well for military applications where radiated emissions must be minimized. The display provides 1000:1 native contrast, 300nit brightness and 89 degree viewing angle.
The IR touch screen is particularly applicable to rugged environments as it is sealed to IP65 and can be used with gloved hands or any other pointer. Dual touch control is supported in Windows 7 for gesture recognition such as zooming the display. One compelling advantage to IR Touch is the ability to install the anti-reflective coated glass bonded to the display for high-bright environments.
The CPX1-241 provides a high quality advanced scaling controller with a Genesis chipset. The rugged LCD controller offers inputs for virtually any video signal including aRGB, DVI-D, HDMI, and video (NTSC/PAL/SECAM, Composite, S-video, SD (YCbCr) and HD (YPbPr) component). An optional HD-SDI adapter is available for professional and broadcast video applications. This is a specifically ruggedized controller offering as standard conformal coating with high shock/vibration and temperature extreme tolerances.
The LCD supports full screen image expansion, on-screen PIP (Picture in Picture), Picture by Picture, and image marker. Rounding out the display features is an infrared control and serial and Ethernet panel control including on-screen text overlay generation.
Included standard is a built-in 2 watt stereo amplifier and two speakers. The speakers are located at the bottom of the front bezel of the display.
The CPX1-241 is primarily designed for rugged Military applications but can be used in Industrial, Commercial, or Broadcast applications where reliability, quality and long program life availability preclude the use of cheaply made imported units. It is designed to meet or exceed MIL-STD-810G for altitude, high and low temperature, humidity, transport vibration and shock and vibration.
