Fabric Structures and Storage Solutions- Top 5 Considerations When Evaluating

However, as he suggests, there are several factors that are common when searching for a solution to a structural need. These are the top five.

1. Application. "It is essential to clearly identify the purpose for the structure, and inevitably what it will be used for," says Tim. As Tim suggests, "there are numerous types of foundations, and foundational systems, again it is important to identify which system works best for your needs". 3. Work Environment. Though fabric structures share many common traits with conventional buildings, they do offer a few unique qualities that Tim suggests should again be considered. "The translucent fabric that we cover our buildings with allows natural light to pass, while keeping UV rays out. This allows for natural light to provide for a safe work environment while reducing the need for lighting fixtures and ultimately saves money on lighting costs". Tim went on to note that although lighting may be required, it is minimal during daylight, and due to the white panels, light during night hours is reflected, again limiting the need for additional fixtures.  The natural light also decreases the overall impact the building has on the environment by offering an energy alternative while still upholding a well lit work environment.

4. Timeline. Over the years, fabric covered structures have developed the perception of being temporary, and to this note Tim had something to add. "That is one of the most attractive features of fabric structures, but over the years it has become more attractive". Tim goes on to say, "the origin and design of the buildings, along with the popularity of their use on a 4-6 year temporary work sites have helped develop that perception. However, the fact of the matter is that these buildings are engineered and designed to exceed building codes, and the ability to dismantle and relocate them is an extremely valuable factor". 5. Budget. As is true for any product that needs to be purchased, budget will inevitably need to be considered. Such is true in the fabric structure industry as well.
