Aug. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- GIBSONIA, Pa. (Richland Twp.), Aug. 22, 2012 – The Kean Theatre, 5847 Meridian Road, is celebrating its 10th Anniversary with the best and funniest fall 2012 theatrical season.  The theatre is known for its elegant atmosphere, top-quality acting, intimate setting and free parking.  This unique theatre operates as a fund-raising venue with proceeds benefiting the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.

“Each of our plays will run two weekends including two Sunday matinees,” said Tom Madden, Managing Director of the Kean Theatre.  “New this year we are offering a dinner-theatre package and matinee lunch before each show in the Mount Vernon Restaurant, located just a few steps away from the Kean Theatre in The Washington Place at St. Barnabas.”

Proceeds benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund, which provides more than $5.2 million in free care to patients at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas and The Arbors at St. Barnabas.  The fall 2012 schedule is:

Garson Kanin’s “Born Yesterday” – Sept. 21-30, 2012
   8 p.m. Sept. 21, 22, 28 & 29.  Tickets are $23 each for the show only. Kean dinner and show tickets are $45 each with dinner seating beginning at 6:30 p.m.
   2 p.m. Sept. 23 & 30.  Tickets are $21 each for the show only.  Kean lunch and show tickets are $43 each with lunch seating beginning at 12:30 p.m.
An uncouth, corrupt rich junk dealer, Harry Brock, brings his showgirl mistress Billie Dawn with him to Washington D.C.  When Billie’s ignorance becomes a liability to Brock’s business dealings, he hires a journalist, Paul Verrall, to educate his girlfriend. Through her education Billie realizes Harry’s corruptness, how she has been used and that she is not as dumb as she once thought. This hilarious comedy was one of the most successful, longest running Broadway plays and was adapted into an Academy Award-winning film. “Broadway comedy at its best” … N.Y. Kean Theatre 10th Anniversary – Oct. 12 & 13, 2012
   8 p.m. Oct. 12 & 13.  Tickets are $38 each for the concert only.
   6 p.m. Oct. 13.  Tickets are $30 each for the V.I.P. Reception only. Tickets are $68 each for V.I.P. Reception and concert.
Oh, what a night this is going to be! The boys from Jersey will kick off the 10th Kean Theatre season. “Let’s Hang On” performs a remarkable tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Halloween Mystery Dinner Theatre – Oct. 26 & 27, 2012
   7 p.m. Oct. 26 & 27.  Tickets are $34 each for the Kean dinner and show.

The Kean Theatre is throwing a Halloween Mystery Dinner Party and they are simply dying for you to join in the fun. Dan Goggin’s “Nunsensations” – Nov. 10-18, 2012
   8 p.m. Nov. 10, 16 & 17.  Tickets are $32 each for the show only.  Kean dinner and show tickets are $54 each with dinner seating beginning at 6:30 p.m.
   2 p.m. Nov. 11 & 18.  Tickets are $30 each for the show only.  Kean lunch and show tickets are $52 each with lunch seating beginning at 12:30 p.m.
The “Little Sisters of Hoboken” are back in this hilarious fourth installment of the successful “Nunsense” series. During the Nunsense Vegas Revue the Sisters are performing at the Pump Room in the Mystique Motor Lodge for another laugh-filled benefit. What follows is the most star-studded, sequin filled, feather dancing show not soon forgotten. The side-splitting night proves what happens in Vegas does not always stay in Vegas as Mother Superior and her talented Sisters belt out songs like “Sin City Sue,” and “Black and White with Her Money on Red.” These tickets sell fast!
