(Grimsby, ON – August 2012) – Handling Specialty, a company with 50 years’ experience engineering and manufacturing custom material handling equipment – like the underwater stage lifts at Franco Dragone’s House of Dancing Water show or the wing assembly work platforms for the F-35 fighter aircraft – is starting up a newsletter for anyone interested in learning more about what we do.

Part marketing outreach campaign and part information sharing, Handling Specialty’s Marketing Manager, Mary Haurilak, promises the newsletter will share some inside information that will appeal to both engineers and managers.  “Our company has been involved in major projects, like building lifts to assist in the assembly of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, all the way to something as diverse as designing the underwater lifts for the Cirque du Soleil’s “O” show at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas (where it has run since 1997),” says Haurilak.
“This company has produced some technologically innovative equipment for some of the biggest names in entertainment, aerospace, defence, automotive, transportation and more. We have some cool and interesting stories to tell – some about technology and some about our experiences. One thing we promise NOT to do in our newsletter is bore you, or clog up your inbox.”

Adds President Thomas Beach, a 28-year veteran of the company: “With this newsletter, we intend to improve our communications with our customers and our colleagues, and to introduce the Handling Specialty story to new people as well. We want to stay in touch with our customers in a modern way and better explain what we do in our unique world of custom engineered and manufactured material handling equipment.”

He explains further:  “We have a keen interest in making sure that our clients know us for more than just scissors lifts.  Handling Specialty has grown to become a premier supplier of a wide variety of customized material handling solutions, created and supported by an innovative and professional team of people.”

The newsletter will be delivered four times a year in HTML format (with a text only version available), and will feature clean, simple design and language, images such as technical renderings and actual photographs, and will provide links to our website or other sites (like flickr or YouTube) where appropriate. Because following best business practices is important, says Haurilak, you (the subscriber) must choose to sign up for it, and the secure third party system we employ will confirm with you via email that you want to receive it. This practice complies with the CAN-SPAM act that is in place to help reduce the amount of spam we all receive.
