Planned for September 12 in Warwick, RI

Wellesley, Mass. - August, 25, 2012 - The New England Chapter of Community Associations Institute (CAINE) is offering a class on dealing with difficult neighbors and their condo issues on September 12, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, RI from 8:30am - 12:00pm.

One out of six homeowners in the U.S. lives in a condominium or homeowner association. A large majority of those don’t fully understand what they’ve bought into when it comes to their condominium documents. Therefore, it’s not uncommon for the 1.25 million Americans who volunteer to serve on a condominium, cooperative or homeowner association board of directors to feel overwhelmed by responsibility, according to the Community Associations Institute (CAI).

This course will help board members and property managers understand their role and responsibility in handling owner disputes, addressing unacceptable behavior and complying with requests for reasonable accommodation.

Questions that most frequently arise in condo communities often times mirror the issues of the day. Contemporary issues reflecting societal, cultural and generational changes have almost all but replaced heated debates and discussions about flag poles, noise and satellite dishes. Industry professionals will address the most common and difficult situations facing today’s condo board members and property managers.
