Milwaukee Trainer Makes Debut as the Face of Men’s Health Magazine’s Best-Selling DVD Series
Milwaukee-based Fitness Entrepreneur, BJ Gaddour, is featured in the September issue of Men's Health Magazine. He is the face of Deltafit Speed Shred, a best-selling DVD workout series recently released by Men's Health.
Gaddour, who grew up in Milwaukee, attended Amherst College and returned to his hometown to pursue a career in fitness. Starting out as a personal trainer, he was one of the very first fitness professionals to hold bootcamp programs in Milwaukee and eventually opened his own gym, The Fitness Asylum (Gaddour is no longer the owner). Gaddour, known for his high-energy, wisecracks, and challenging workouts, soon became a sought-after speaker, educating other trainers on the benefits of Metabolic-style training. His viral video, “S___ Women Say to Personal Trainers” became an overnight internet sensation, receiving over 800k views in a few weeks. Brands such as Men’s Health and New Balance caught onto his talent and reached out to him to consult their brands.
Gaddour, an entrepreneur at heart, began StreamFIT.com in December 2011. StreamFIT.com is a streaming fitness solution that allows people to access workouts anywhere, anytime, from the top trainers in the industry. Gaddour’s unique style, in addition to his vast experience in producing workout videos, made him the ideal candidate for Speed Shred.
In the September 2012 issue of Men’s Health, Gaddour is featured in an article entitled “Meet Your Muscle Maker,” introducing Gaddour and the training philosophy behind Deltafit Speed Shred. Speed Shred has only been on the market for a few weeks and is already one of Men’s Health’s most successful products. The intense, yet fun, workouts are well received and Gaddour’s sense of humor is prevalent throughout (he calls sweat “change droplets”).
Gaddour’s next plans are to take StreamFIT.com to the next level. The StreamFIT.com Alpha version will be launching in early September along with its first DVD series specifically designed for travelers called HeartRate Hotel. This series will be the first of its kind, using bodyweight, towels, and suitcases as equipment when access to typical gym equipment is hard to come by.
Locally, you may see Gaddour with his wife, walking his two Boxers, Mustafa and Kaila on the Lakefront or along North Avenue.
