Aug. 21, 2012 - PRLog -- The Institute for Vascular Testing (IVT)- To Host Open House & Screening on August 23, 2012

August 21, 2012, Campbell, CA - On August 23, 2012, The Institute for Vascular Testing (IVT) will host an 0pen House and screening from 5pm-8pm at 2255 South Bascom Avenue, Suite 205, Campbell, CA 95008.  The event is open to local area physicians and their staff and will include an educational and social evening with Debbie Hoover and other Registered Vascular Technologists, a tour of the new IVT state-of-the-art facility, as well as screenings for Carotid Artery Disease and PAD.

Sponsored by Polly Kokinos, MD and Debbie Hoover, RVT, RMDS the Institute for Vascular Testing’s Open House will focus on educating South Bay area’s medical community that they have options when choosing a vascular testing center. IVT offers same day Access for urgent/emergent vascular studies, immediate preliminary technologist reports and 24 hour physician reading, low cost screenings to access for Carotid, Peripheral Arterial and Aortic Aneurysmal Disease as well as testing for:
•   Carotid Duplex
•   Venous Insufficiency
•   Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm
•   Deep Venous Thrombosis
•   Arterial Evaluations
•   Renal/Mesenteric Doppler

“The opening of this new center is the response to a need by patients and physicians in the community for high quality vascular outpatient ultrasounds – a service that has been limited in the past,” says Polly Kokinos, MD, Co-Founder and Medical Director of The Institute for Vascular Testing.  “We are the first free standing vascular testing center to reach the South Bay area.”

While everyone knows the importance of heart disease, few people appreciate the seriousness of major venous diseases. Even fewer are aware of the simple, non-invasive tests widely available to detect these diseases and the ease of using a free-standing state-of-the-art center like The Institute for Vascular Testing.
IVT aims to educate the public about venous healthcare problems, risk factors, prevention, and treatment options.  With this in mind, the evening will also focus on conducting free, comprehensive screenings for Carotid Artery Disease and PAD. Each year these diseases kill and cripple thousands of Americans every year:
Individuals looking for new options to reduce lengthy wait times for testing for vascular diseases are encouraged to RSVP by phone at 408.376.3626 or via email at info@southbayvascular.com.
