Wonder Pet Expo "Paws" its way to Houston

Aug. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- HOUSTON, TX. – The Houston Roller Derby will help host Wonder Pet Expo Houston Sept. 1 at the Legends Sports Complex in the Woodlands.

 Award-winning petblogger Preston Speaks and nationally renowned Dog Tipper publishers Paris Permenter and John Bigley will do stage presentations and book signings. The husband-wife team will also debut their highly anticipated children's coloring book.  The Woodlands Police Department will amaze the crowd with their K-9 Demos and pet experts will share exclusive tips on training.

Pets are allowed on a fixed lead with proof of age-appropriate vaccinations.

Children will be selected from the audience to race with Bonzi and Pinky in the Wonder Paws RaceWay. Bonzi races against animal abuse; Pinky races against puppy mills. Kids can also enjoy face painting, games and arts and crafts.

“Wonder Pet Expos aim to teach present and future generations the importance of adopting, spay and neuter while offering the best in pet products and services," said Kathy Hulin, founder of Wonder Pet Expos. "We are proud to bring our event to Houston, a city of true pet lovers."

Pet Vaccs will be on hand offering low-cost vaccinations and micro-chipping.   Pet owners can pamper their loved ones with free "Spa-pawdicures," ear cleaning and other grooming specials.  Every pet is welcome to enter the "Most Pawsome Pet" Pageant, which will be judged in three categories.  Attendees can also sign up for an end-of-the year luxury car giveaway, a $250 PetSmart card, pet gates, and other incredible prizes.

Exhibitors include  Pet Paradise Resort, Yuppie Dog Daycare, All About Doody, Pet Floors of  Houston, Barker Street Gourmet Bakery & Boutique, and various area rescues. Adoptable dogs will also be available in the Wonder Paws Rescue Arena, and Derby Doxie Races will be hosted by the Dachshund Rescue of Houston. Registration for the race can be done at the event.
