The run starts (and ends) at the Wildpointe Reserve (www.wildpointereserve.com) The Fun. Headlining the 1st Annual Elizabeth Community Music & Art Festival (http://elizabethfestival.com) is Grammy Award winner Sally Van Meter playing with the Black Dog Band. She is the only female to win a Grammy for playing an instrument. A modern style resophonic guitar and lap steel player, Van Meter plays Scheerhorn resophonic guitars. Now living in Boulder, she is known for her tone and clean playing and is considered one of the leading “dobro” players in the contemporary bluegrass scene. The Festival takes place from 10 am to 10 pm on Saturday, August 18, 2012, on the grounds of the Elizabeth library at 651 West Beverley Street (between Safeway and Big R) in Elizabeth. It includes food, crafts and art vendors, free pony rides for the kids and exhibits as well as a beergarden. Entertainment.
