-- Guardian Self Storage Tauranga was one of three finalists in the 2012 SSAA awards for Regional Facility of the Year, held at the Sydney Hilton on Thursday night. After careful review by the SSAA and huge anticipation by our team, Guardian Tauranga was announced as the winner of the Regional Facility of the Year award out of Australasia, for 2012.
The SSAA (Self Storage Association of Australasia)
represents over 1100 self storage facilities in Australia and New Zealand and over 100 in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Korea and the Middle East. It is the peak industry body for the Self Storage industry in Australia and New Zealand, and receives nominations in June of each year for Regional Facility of the Year. The Regional Facility of the year award is open to any facility that operates in a location that is no more than 10 minutes drive from a city or district of over 100,000 people.
Finalists are judged based on their performance throughout the year, their improvements on previous years, and on new innovations, financial performance, a unique approach to marketing or promotions, a positive team culture and a commitment to customer service.
Once again, not only were we the only company from New Zealand to make the Finals, Guardian is the first company to have won both awards for the year.
