The Mad Violinist & The Symphony Crack Orchestra Reach Top 10 iTunes Electronic Album Charts Only Days After Releasing Their New Album ‘Fiend’
ATLANTA, GA, August 16, 2012 – The Mad Violinist & Symphony Crack Orchestra are thrilled to announce the release of their sophomore album, Fiend, which is now available on iTunes and Amazon MP3. Only 24 hours after releasing the album to the world, Fiend climbed from Top 200 to Top 10 on iTunes. A record that many artists only dream about when releasing new music to their fans. Symphony Crack’s first album, Addiction set new standards in music within their category by successfully meshing different musical styles and theory into single tracks on a very dynamic record. Seeing the early success of Fiend leaves fans highly anticipating the release of their third album.
The Symphony Crack Orchestra brings an incredible amount of passion into the creation of their music in the studio, which extends to their live performances, effectively making their shows an entirely new and unique experience. Tour dates planned in support of Fiend are set to begin August 19th, 2012.
Five-time Grammy nominated Ashanti Floyd, known as The Mad Violinist, is one of the top violinists, string arrangers, and performers in the country. He picked up his first violin at the age of three with strong inspiration from his mother. Floyd is now musically accomplished in over thirty instruments. Floyd partnered with Kane Beatz and The Building Records in 2008 and have since co-produced and produced over 30 major albums, including “The Show Goes On” by Lupe Fiasco, Nicki Minaj’s “I’m the Best,” T-Pain’s “I’m High,” and many others.
Fiend is placed under the Electronic category, but includes sounds of Alternative, Hip-Hop, Classical, and Jazz. Fiend combines creative musical influences from featured artists -- Asia Bryant, Restless, Scar, Kief Brown, and aColorWar. The album is a great depiction of how The Mad Violinist guides his group to consistently push boundaries to set new standards among their peers. Symphony Crack Orchestra brings the same creativity and passion into their music as musicians once did decades ago; spending long hours in the studio working hard to create something that no one has ever heard or experienced before. They will continue to create new frontiers in music, and will no doubt become legends of their craft.
“Symphony Crack’s new album, Fiend, pushes the limits of music. Fusing sounds like electronic, classical, and RnB, they are taking music to where no one has before.” –Award Winning Producer, Kane Beatz
DJbooth.net advocates Symphony Crack by stating, “The result is fresh, poignant and likely to leave lovers of out-the-box sounds craving more.”
