-- ‘harman house,’ the leading retail chain in home, professional and car infotainment in the Middle East, has announced the Middle East availability of the latest addition to its soundbar line, the ‘Harman Kardon’ SB 30, a new compact theater system that has been specifically designed to meet the demands of the region’s discerning home theater audiophiles. The announcement follows after the SB 30 was recently named as one of the winners for the 2012 edition of the CES Innovations Design and Engineering Award.
The ‘Harman Kardon’ SB 30 home theatre soundbar system offers a single wireless subwoofer combined with an extremely advanced loudspeaker that connects directly to any TV, DVD, Blu-ray Disc player or game console. The unit also comes with a sleek soundbar and a wireless subwoofer. The SB 30 sound system can be optimized for room size and listener location, adding a whole new listening experience when watching movies, sports or playing video games.
“The ‘Harman Kardon’ SB 30 offers revolutionary digital sound processing capabilities that will not only overwhelm the competition but also demonstrate how surround sound should be experienced at home,” said Amit Malani, President, Harman Middle East. “The SB 30 is the perfect complement to today’s modern households, where much of the entertainment content comes from HDTVs—with consumers expressing demand for optimized sound to complement the HD imagery. The design of the SB 30 features the understated elegance that ‘Harman Kardon’ is known for, combined with new DSP technologies and a wireless subwoofer that will provide a vibrant sound system that is as unobtrusive as it is clean.”
The ‘Harman Kardon’ SB 30 soundbar consists of 13 drivers, which includes six two-inch woofers and seven one-inch tweeters that are powered by 11 amplifier channels. Signals being fed to the SB 30 are processed through some proprietary DSP, thereby offering the listener with a couple of listening modes. The customization comes from the SB 30’s two listening modes; Virtual and Wave. The Virtual mode is intended to create a faux-surround effect from two-channel sources while the Wave mode creates a surround sound effect from 5.1 content. In addition, a compact subwoofer adds to the audio experience with its features of being placed easily anywhere, wireless capabilities and a down firing bass reflex design. The unit also features a Dolby volume to maintain key sound levels and a dual-position EQ switch.
The ‘Harman Kardon’ SB 30 soundbar is available at all 'harman house' stores across the Middle East and is currently being offered at a packaged price of AED 3499, which includes a wireless subwoofer.
