-- Alpha K9 will be providing a PTSD service dog to a person in need for every 2,500 “Likes” on Facebook. The People targeted to receiving the service animal is a child, Veteran, Law Enforcement or any first-responder. Our current program is designed to donate up to 5 Service Dogs a year. Our First Donated dog will be going to a person in the greater Sacramento area but the program is not confined to the city of Sacramento. When our Alpha K9 pages hits 2,500 likes we will announce the receiving party.
Alpha K9 is a Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Our owner, Kevin Cameron, is a former Military Working Dog Trainer and a decorated combat veteran who served in the Balkans, Kosovo, Bosnia and Iraq. He started this company to provide practical obedience and protection dog training with a desire to give back to the community. He has seen the impact of PTSD on families and this is his way of helping.
Our Trainers will procure dogs from local Humane Societies, train them to meet ADA training standards and then randomly select individuals from the applications that we have collected via email to receive the Service Dogs.
