CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST GPS TRACKING COMPANY

   August 14, 2012 – The law firm of Ewusiak & Roberts announces the filing of a class action lawsuit on behalf of Florida businesses and individuals against Fleetmatics (www.fleetmatics.com), a company that provides GPS tracking systems for small and medium sized businesses.  

   The lawsuit alleges that Fleetmatics recorded thousands of telephone calls made by Fleetmatics sales representatives from its Clearwater, Florida office to Florida consumers, who reasonably expected that no one would be recording their telephone conversations, and without disclosing or providing notice that the conversations would be recorded.   According to the Class Action Complaint, the recording of the telephone calls without consent violated Florida law, and every customer who had a phone call recorded without their consent is entitled to statutory damages and final injunctive relief.  The case style is U.S. Prisoner Transport, et. al. v.
