After arriving at the Spanish school, the new students take a level test which will help splitting them up into different courses. As there are lessons in the morning and in the afternoon, a part of the students has lessons right away. For the remaining students the school offers a tour through the historical centre of Valencia every Monday, one of many leisure time activities organized by the Spanish school.

In the course of the week –in addition to the lessons - there are many activities and excursions every day. For example, there is a Paella Welcome Party every Thursday in Valencia, where the students can taste one of the dishes typical of Valencia, get to know the teachers and become friends with their new classmates.

There is also a big range of activities for football-fans: on Wednesday morning there was a visit to the stadium of the Valencian football club Valencia CF, which is situated nearby the school and which a lot of students attended. In the evening, the school invited the students to try the drink Horchata, typical for the Valencian region, in a traditional Horchatería.
On Thurstay, interested students could watch a flamenco show in the Café del Duende, which is known for its high quality flamenco performances in Valencia.
The weekend usually begins with a beach party organized by the Spanish school at the beach La Malvarrosa which almost all of the students attend.
The first week was completed by an excursion to Barcelona where the students had the opportunity to get to know another great Spanish city.

Next week, besides the Spanish lessons, there are planned a lot of free-time activities again. Among other things, a visit to a typical street market in Valencia, the Torico en Chiva (a famous bull race) and a day trip to the capital Madrid. This summer, there will be organized several highlights, for example a trip to Buñol, where the famous tomato battle "La Tomatina" takes place.
