Disneyland Half Marathon and 5K The Vanity Project Provides Racing Shirts for Team CNS Los Angeles, CA (August 13, 2012) Over Labor Day Weekend, Children’s Neurobiological Solutions (CNS) Foundation will be racing through the Happiest Place on Earth! CNS has a team running in the 5K Saturday, September 1, 2012 and Half Marathon, Sunday, September 2, 2012. Though the event is officially SOLD OUT, Team CNS has exclusive spots available. The race will take Team CNS through Sleeping Beauty Castle, Disneyland ® Park, and Disney California Adventure ™ Park to raise funds and awareness for children living with neurological disorders. More than 23,250 runners, 10,000 spectators and 2,000 volunteers will participate in the weekend extravaganza, which includes live music and a two-day Health and Fitness Expo. “This is our third year participating, and it is a great way for our families to have fun while advocating for the children in their lives,” says Alex Richmond, CNS Executive Director. “It also allows CNS to raise awareness about the prevalence of childhood neurological disorders, as well as the need to understand the connections among them and the science behind them. Autism, epilepsy, cerebral palsy and more than 600 other conditions are all under our umbrella of focus. The more people understand how they’re connected to our mission, the more we can work together to save and improve children’s lives.” Runner campaign contributions help support CNS’ mission to: • Find treatments and cures for all pediatric brain conditions by funding and facilitating cutting-edge scientific research. And; • Provide up-to-date information and resources for families and health care providers to help them make the best possible decisions for children struggling with neurological challenges. Team CNS will be racing in shirts specially designed by The Vanity Project. With the motto: Peace, Love and Philanthropy, The Vanity Project works with nonprofit foundations to design one-of-a-kind shirts that represent the unique mission of the organization. They donate 51% of the proceeds directly back to the nonprofit. For more information, please contact: Sasha Kopas at (866) 267-5580 or sasha@cnsfoundation.org End
