She is a huge supporter of women and veterans. “We are honored to have Colleen and Vernice “FlyGirl” Armour this year to honor women veterans” said Robert D. Tuke, President of Board of OSDN. “We host this annual breakfast to honor those who served our country, who know and understand what it means to be a veteran in today’s world,” said Tuke. “Operation Stand Down Nashville is the only Veteran Service Center in Middle Tennessee. Our clients are honorably discharged veterans with an emphasis on veterans who are homeless or jobless. Our ultimate goal is to give veterans in need the tools to rejoin their community as productive, contributing citizens.” All of the dollars raised for this event will help OSDN provide services for more than 2,000 veterans each year. “The Marine Corps prepared the platform for my purpose,” Armour said. She has since published a book, “Zero to Breakthrough- “Marines don’t settle,” Armour said. “Failure’s just not an option for us.” Individual tickets for the event are $50 and Table Captains are $1000.
