Aug. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- CoachUp.com is proud to partner with Boston Promise to connect great private basketball coaches in Boston with the talented student-athletes in the Boston Promise program!

In 2012 CoachUp.com, the nation’s largest private sports coaching company, launched the CoachUp Cares program, in an effort to bring the incredible benefits of private coaching to all kids, not just those who can afford to pay. For every 20 Packages of training sessions purchased on CoachUp, CoachUp pays for one 5-Session Package for an underprivileged student-athlete, nominated by one of our nonprofit partners.

The partnership with Boston Promise will help underprivileged young athletes to hone their skills through private sports coaching.

CoachUp Cares™ offers 5 free training sessions to the selected student-athletes, and pays CoachUp’s private coaches for their time. It’s our way of ensuring that all student-athletes have access to quality private coaching, not just those who are fortunate enough to have the financial resources needed to hire a private coach. On a quarterly basis, CoachUp will contact Boston Promise (and all our nonprofit partners) and let them know how many free 5-session packages are available, based on how many session packages were purchased that quarter. Our nonprofit partners recommend talented student-athletes who would benefit from private coaching. CoachUp then matches those student-athletes with available CoachUp Cares coaches in their sport and city. Through CoachUp Cares™, CoachUp’s private coaches who choose to join the program are offered an incredible opportunity to connect with promising, underprivileged student-athletes through the sport they love, and help them realize their full potential in sports and in life.

Boston Promise prepares Boston’s young basketball players for the opportunities and challenges of college-level athletics and academics. Its approach is unique in that it combines expert basketball instruction, an understanding of what it takes to succeed in college both academically and athletically, and a focus on building strong personal habits that lead to success beyond the gym.

CoachUp helps kids achieve their full potential in sports by connecting them with great private coaches. On CoachUp, registered coaches can apply to create free profile pages to increase their client list, and athletes, or their parents, can hire qualified and safe one on one coaches.  People can search by city and sport to find private coaches in their area, sort the available options, and use a credit card to book their coach through CoachUp. CoachUp was founded by a former professional basketball player, Jordan Filegel, and Arian Radmand, an experienced software engineer.  The platform is designed to alleviate all the headaches associated with scheduling lessons and finding the right coach.
