Volpe and Koenig’s Aneesh A. Mehta Named Among Pennsylvania's Lawyers on the Fast Track

Aug. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (August 9, 2012) – Volpe and Koenig, P.C., a leading intellectual property boutique law firm with offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Princeton, New Jersey announced today that associate Aneesh A. Mehta has earned a spot among Pennsylvania's 2012 Lawyers on the Fast Track. Mehta is one of only 35 lawyers highlighted in the list published by The Legal Intelligencer, the oldest daily legal newspaper in the U.S. and official publication for all Philadelphia County legal notices.  With the help of editorial staff of The Legal Intelligencer, a group of seven evaluation panelists from across the Commonwealth selected those on the list from individuals nominated as the future leaders of Pennsylvania's legal community. Pennsylvania-based attorneys under the age of 40 were eligible for nomination.

Mehta was chosen due to his active involvement in the legal community. Locally, he is member of both the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations; he currently serves as a Zone 1 Chair for the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division. Mehta is also the Chair-Elect for the Philadelphia Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division, and his term as Chair will begin in January 2013. On a national level, he serves on the North American South Asian Bar Association (NASABA) Board as Vice President of Membership. The 2012 Lawyers on the Fast Track list appears in the September 25, 2012, issue of The Legal Intelligencer. The 35 lawyers will be honored at an event hosted by the publication on November 1, 2012.

In his practice, Mehta specializes in strategic patent prosecution, as well as intellectual property licensing, due diligence, and litigation. His patent prosecution experience focuses on electronics, software and medical devices for both domestic and foreign clients. Mehta is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Mehta is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He earned his LL.M. in Trial Advocacy from Temple University's Beasley School of Law, and his J.D. at Rutgers University School of Law.  He received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on communications and electronic circuits, and B.S. in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on semiconductor devices, from the University of Florida.
