Aries Apparel Names Kiser as Manager of new Clackamas Location

CLACKAMAS, Ore. (August 8, 2012) – Aries Apparel, the only specialty female athletic apparel, equipment and accessories retailer in the Portland area announced today that Janice Kiser has been hired to manage the companies new store at Clackamas Town Center.  

The Clackamas store is the second location for the Oregon-owned business. The store offers girls and women of all athletic abilities the broadest year-round selection of sport-specific athletic apparel, footwear, equipment and accessories in addition to general workout wear. Aries Apparel opened its first location in Hillsboro in 2008 in response to a void in the local marketplace for a retail business focusing on the needs of the active female athlete from the recreational level to serious competitive athletes.

Kiser comes to Aries after a 10 year career with Tommy Hilfiger, where she served as the company trainer.  Kiser also helped launch a software consulting business with her husband.  While at Tommy Hilfiger, Kiser was responsible for training new managers hired by the company, both in a classroom setting and on-site at store locations nationwide.

While the opening marks the second brick and mortar location, Aries Apparel hosts more than 80 pop-up stores at sports tournaments, clinics and competitions each year. More than 85 percent of Aries Apparel business is from repeat customer, many of them driving across the state to the original store in Hillsboro to find everything they need to play basketball, soccer, volleyball, softball, lacrosse or enjoy dancing, swimming, walking, running or working out.

Aries Apparel carries everything a female athletes needs to play including sports bras, gloves, jewelry, headbands, scarves, socks, hats, water bottles and bags as well as sport-specific accessories such as goggles, kneepads, glove oil, braces and ankle guards and shin guards. The new store is located at 12130 S 82nd Ave. #H143 in Happy Valley near REI, is open Monday through Saturday from 10 am-9 pm and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. and employs seven associates including manager Kiser.
