“Take Flight Through Fitness & Dance” A.A.R announces its Cirque student showcase. Time & Location: August 12, 2012 at 2:00pm -3:00pm Artisan Works at the main entrance of the café, 565 Blossom Road Rochester, N.Y.14610. Admission $6.00 includes full admission to Artisan Work and a tour of the A.A.R studio after the show. Rochester’s own premier aerial arts school. Aerial Arts of Rochester will be hosting its annual summer student showcase. The students will be performing aerial arts, similar to those seen in March by Cirque Du Soleil at the Blue Cross Arena. Using aerial apparatuses while they perform, Aerial silks, (also know as fabric, tissue, ribbon,) Trapeze, Lyra (Aerial hoop, cerceau), Aerial Rope (Corde Lisse, Spanish Web) Aerial Hammock and Pole (Chinese pole), you will see the students “Take flight through Fitness & Dance”. This great new form of fun and fitness continues to gain national recognition as seen on the Doctors, The View, The next fashion star, and America’s got talent just to name a few. Master trainers William and Jennifer Dovidio take each student step by step through the process of learning these unique forms of fitness, dance and art. Regardless of the individuals fitness level, weight, age, or stature they break down each fundamental move making it possible for everyone to work at their own pace. Before you know it, your doing things you never thought were possible, gaining core strength and confidence and while having fun. William Dovidio received his black belt at the age of eleven and has been perfecting his coaching and training form for the last 16 years. Creating “Cirque Fit”(aerobics’ Jennifer Dovidio is a classically trained dancer and a certified personal trainer. Training with the some of the top athletes in her field including Christine Van Loo for Aerial Silks (Olympic athlete of the decade). Jennifer started instruction pole fitness in June of 2009. In her quest for perfection she continuing her training by traveling and working with other professionals, performing and competing across the country. Her goal, always to be at the top of her field shows thought with her exceptional belief in her art and her unique training style. Jennifer recently said: “Practice builds character and an appreciation for what you do, developing fluidity and strengths creates grace and passion for you soul. When all are aligned – a polestar is born” A.A.R. won the 2012 best fitness in Rochester award bring us a step closer to our mission, to make the circus arts attainable to everyone, in a supportive environment where you will be able to soar.
