1. Wash your hands-frequently-just as your mother told you to do. Viruses pass from one person to another during close contact and in the cold weather we spend more time indoors-touching telephones, remotes etc. Wash your hands at least 7 times every day to help avoid getting sick.
2. Get your flu shot! Every year the new flu shot offers updated protection from viruses over the last year.
3. Take your vitamins.  Pharmacists recommend taking supplements from September  to spring. Talk to your pharmacist for their suggestions.
Eat nutritious foods, get regular exercise, reduce stress, and get enough sleep to help you avoid getting sick.  Living a healthy lifestyle and following the tips above is the best way to be good to yourself all fall and winter.
