The K-Club Can Help Ease The Pressure Of Success For Entrepreneurs, Says Founder

The Social Side Of The Region's First By Invitation Only Business Club For Entrepreneurs Helps Them Become Funtrepreneurs, According To Businesman Brian Wood

Aug. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Being a high-profile and successful entrepreneur with his or her finger on the pulse of a fast growing company can be one of the loneliest jobs in the world, according to chartered tax advisor Brian Wood.

That’s one of the reasons the partner in Manchester based tax boutique Corinthian Tax became an active founder of the K-Club, the region’s first by-invitation-only business club for high net worth individuals and successful entrepreneurs.

“When I first heard co-founder Fred Stone’s ideas for the K-Club, I immediately thought of a very successful client of mine who runs a very profitable company.  One day, this super entrepreneur, whose company's sales run into many millions a year, took me to one side and confided in me that he is in a very lonely place.

“He has more than 500 people working for his company and is very aware that many of the business decisions that he makes could impact on them and their futures.  Other than his professional advisers, this entrepreneur has had nobody with whom to share his worries and concerns and feels a lot of pressure from his isolation.

“My client's situation is not unusual at that level of business so, when we set about launching the K-Club, I was determined that it should have a strong social side, and be a welcoming event for like-minded people where entrepreneurs could become funtrepreneurs.

“Entrepreneurs want to make new contacts, key players like themselves, with whom they can discuss the business issues of the day in comfortable surroundings.  However, when they attend one of the many business networking groups that have sprung up around the country, I believe that they tend to be targeted by sales people.

“That’s why we were determined that the K-Club is not going to be a sales arena. It is a business club for key players who want to mix and mingle with like-minded successful business people.”

As a tax specialist whose skills and vast experience are much in demand by high-flyers, Brian, who lives in Royton, has been able to introduce some key individuals from the business world to the K-Club.

“Our quarterly breakfast meetings at Salford City Stadium are interesting, informative and thoroughly enjoyable. Just the place where high-powered business people can relax and unwind,” added Brian. “It might be lonely at the top but the K-Club always gives a warm welcome to successful entrepreneurs.”
