Raising Awareness for Charity and Supporting Australian Surfboard Shapers

Surfboardpit.com is a new website supporting the Australian surfboard shaping industry and raising awareness and support for charity. This mission has been the focus point for the creation of Surfboardpit.com.

Aug. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Surfboardpit.com will be a platform for Australian surfboard shapers to promote and sell their stock, and custom surfboards to a national and eventually global audience of surfers. Years of surfing and traveling has inspired co-founders Scott Murray and Jeremy Loosz to help make a difference in both the Australian surfboard shaping industry, and lives of other people. Co-founder Scott Murray said “Surfboardpit.com allows every Australian surfboard shaper to have their own shop front and sell quality handcrafted Australian surfboards direct to the customer.”

Murray also said, “The biggest goal and mission behind Surfboardpit.com, is raising awareness for charity. Where every single surfboard sold through the website, a portion of the sale is donated to a selected charity. We want consumers to understand that if they slightly changed the way they buy products, it could have a real impact on other people and the environment.”

Through purchasing a custom or stock surfboard on Surfboardpit.com, a surfer is supporting both an Australian shaper and giving to a charity for no extra cost.

Co-founder Jeremy Loosz explained, “Surfboardpit.com allows the shaper to be in control of every sale and product, therefore the customer is getting expert knowledge direct from the person who shaped the surfboard.”

“The website allows the shapers to have their own shop front, which is a portal for them to upload their own surfboards, information, videos and terms and conditions”, Loosz said.

The website www.surfboardpit.com  is on track for an official launch in the coming months, with lots of quality Australian surfboard shapers set to be on board.

Surfboardpit.com gives the customer direct communication to Australian shapers, their quality products and the ability to order a custom shaped surfboard from any shaper, all online. A system has been designed where the customer can order a custom surfboard that suits them direct from any registered shaper. It allows the customer to get that perfect board made and shipped direct to their door, while fulfilling the promise to charity Surfboardpit.com has made.
