Columbia Business School Alumni Club of NY Holds 2012 Elections

Aug. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Kinnelon, NJ – At its June 25, 2012 annual meeting, the Columbia Business School Alumni Club of NY (CBSAC/NY) held elections for officers and directors. Christine B. Whittemore CBS’93 was re-elected to a third term as member of CBSAC/NY board of directors, and confirmed co-president for the second year of her term which ends on May 31, 2013.  Joining Whittemore is Erik Tiltmann CBS’07, newly confirmed junior co-president.

CBSAC/NY is an independent not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded by Columbia Business School alumni in 1975. The CBSAC/NY acts as a unique business, networking and educational resource for Columbia Business School graduates, faculty and students in New York and surrounding region, as well as other professionals interested in educational events.

“The mission of the club is to strengthen the Columbia Business School alumni network through diverse educational and networking events,” says Whittemore. “With over 18,000 Columbia Business School alums in the immediate CT/NJ/NY area, 11,000 of those in the New York City area, club members have a vast and talented network to interact with. Our goal is find more ways for members to appreciate the richness of that alumni network while developing professionally."

Whittemore, chief simplifier of Simple Marketing Now LLC, was first elected to the board of directors in June 2009. She was active in the CBSAC/NY’s Membership Committee from 2002 to 2004 and has served as Chair of the Greeters committee since 2004.

The CBSAC/NY club executive committee consists of two co-presidents, a corporate secretary, and a treasurer. Officers and directors of the CBSAC/NY have a fiduciary responsibility to oversee the proper management of the New York alumni club.
